Dental Implants

Dr. Rosenberg has been replacing missing teeth with dental implants for over 19 years.

He has completed advanced training to offer implant support for crowns, bridges and dentures as well as bone regeneration, including sinus lifts,  to facilitate dental implant placement. In some cases, Dr. Rosenberg can place your dental implant on the same day that your tooth is extracted - a procedure known as "immediate placement" or if conditions are correct a temporary crown can be placed which is known as "immediate load."

Periodontal Disease

The word "periodontal" literally means "around the tooth". Periodontal disease (also known as "gum disease", "pyorrhea" or "periodontal infection") is an ongoing bacterial infection in the gums (gingivitis) and bone (periodontitis) surrounding the teeth. In addition to the direct damage caused by bacteria and their products, the immune system can react to the bacteria and cause blood cells to release chemicals which further deteriorates the bone.

This infection, if not treated, destroys the bone around the teeth which results in tooth loss. 75% of all adult tooth loss is due to periodontal infection. Receding gums is another type of periodontal disease which may be caused by infection, toothbrush trauma, thin tissue or prominent roots.
